Out of Luck, Out of Time

Summary:

A young woman finds a magical artifact in a dungeon that changes her luck for good. She’s been notoriously unlucky for a halfling, and a goddess takes note of her plight. But can 30 seconds really save her and the ones she loves from her own misfortune? As she ventures into the world of Arthen, she explores the lives of people she’s always been too afraid to join, and see’s the parts of this seedy world that most simply do their best to avoid.

WARNINGS:

Based off of the world building presented in Dungeon’s & Decontamination This is one of the few characters I made to be cishet in my writings. The people in this world are more open than she starts off, but there’s still some innate transphobia and homophobia present in the story, as it’s building on a story of a Trans Elf who changed the world with their magic and still finds herself demonized in some corners of the world she bettered. This character will think of her implicit biases as the default way of thinking until she is faced with the truth, eventually becoming a much more open minded individual. This is meant to highlight the cruel nature of transphobia, homophobia and other bigoted viewpoints, not to make light of them.
