Summary:
A young man from Los Angeles named Jake finds himself dropped into a new life. A pair of drunken adventurers teach him the ways of this new world named Arthen. The sword wielding behemoth Rogs, and the druid elf Enpi show the newcomer not only how to survive, but that they might end up the most powerful wizard of all time. The choices they make could change the course of this world, yet this confused young human only has one goal in mind; Find who they truly are and who they truly love in a world of chaos and confusion.
Welcome to the world of Arthen!
This is my introductory story into the world of Arthen. Mostly built as a brief and simple story exploring the magic system and lore of the world. It happens to focus most heavily on three friends, and while not bringing many side characters into this piece seems to shrink the world itself, it’s more meant to emphasize the depth of the friendship, and the need the main character feels to keep their friends happy.
Warnings:
Lightly sexual themes and motifs of unintentional self-harm. No descriptively sexual scenes outside of a brief, self described ‘moment of weakness’ in which all characters remain fully clothed. No descriptions of intentional self-harm, though there are graphic descriptions of bodily disfiguration from events briefly described as an accident. But most of you know an Isekai story without someone getting hit by a bus is almost unheard of. This is simply a form of that.
